I started Free Spirit Farm in 2006 after I moved to Colorado from Maryland. I wanted a place to raise some animals and grow some my own food. I am starting with 2 acres and seeing how well i can do with that then I hope to have a bigger farm someday. Growing food is a bit of a challenge here, the weather is wierd and there isn't much moisture but is it a great place for the animals. I Met my Co-Farmer Colleen in 2007. She was just as eager to farm as I was. So far we have learned to milk goats and raise and process chickens. We have even more plans for 2009. Among them are getting a Mini Jersey Cow, sell out chickens, eggs, and goat milk and meat and finally grow some type of food. So far we have had better luck with the Animals but I convinced my mom to move out here from georgia and she had a gereen thumb so maybe we will get some produce this year.
